Who is a partisan?
Back in school, in history lessons,who are partisans. This is a generalized name of the members of the social grouping. Predominantly the term "partisan" refers to a supporter of non-state, that is not part of the regular army of the military detachment. And such military associations enjoy the support of local residents, which is a fundamental factor.
The purpose of the partisans is to fight against the existingstate of political or martial law, the occupation regime of the enemy. Among the methods of struggle are sabotage, sabotage, terror and other means, while using disguise and avoiding frontal confrontation with superior enemy forces.
In Russia, partisan associations played an important role in defeating the enemy during the Patriotic War of 1812 and the Great Patriotic War. With their help solved the following tasks:
- depriving enemy troops of weapons;
- deterioration of morale of the invaders;
- the destruction of disparate groups of opponents, and so on.
