It is believed that spirits are able to settle into inanimate objects, and then there are poltergeists. They can also penetrate into the plant, animal or human consciousness. Cases of obsession are still encountered today, however, skeptics consider them to be a manifestation of a mental disorder.
Different religions distinguish different spirits. There are spirits of nature: forests, various ponds, wind, thunderstorms, a home. In ancient times, people deified the forces of nature. It was believed that with the help of various rituals you can appease the spirits of nature. So, sacrifices were made to the rain god in the hope that there would be no drought and it would be possible to harvest a rich harvest.
Also there are perfumes at home: house, evil spirits, demons, geniuses, etc. Spirits of dead people stand out separately. It is believed that with the help of special techniques one can summon the spirit of the deceased and ask him various questions.
