What is the relief?
Our planet is rich in seas and forests, mountains andplains, different geographical objects, not similar to each other. In a word, generalizing the whole variety of uneven surfaces, determined the relief. Let us consider in more detail what a relief is from a geographical point of view.
The word "relief" comes from the Latin wordrelevo, which in translation means "raise." The relief is called the set of various irregularities of the earth's surface and other solid planetary bodies. Relief as a complex system consists of levels of elements, forms and complexes, which differ in the complexity of their structure. So, the elements of the relief are the simplest, and the complexes are the most complex. It should also be noted that the terrain is a dynamically developing system, which indicates its relative inconstancy. You can observe the destruction of rocks or the drying up of water bodies, and this will also indicate the development of the relief as a whole or its individual elements.
