Named the top 10 buildings in Scotland over the past 100 years.

Within the framework of the Scottish Style (Scotstyle) mobile exhibition project, the top 10 buildings in Scotland over the past 100 years have been named. Voters could choose from a list of 100 Scottish buildings currently represented in the Scottish Parliament at the Politics Festival, and now they will have to vote again to determine which of the finalists will receive the title “Building of the Century”.

“This brilliant list is evidence of the highest quality Scottish buildings. The fact that many of them are built relatively recently demonstrates that our national architecture is in perfect health. We have something to celebrate, ”said Neil Baxter, secretary of the RIAS and assistant editor of Scotstyle.

Scotstyle exhibition tells about the history of 100 semi-finalist buildings, moving around the country. It will be the main event of this year’s Festival of Architecture and an important part of the program for the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design.

The announcement was made by the Vice-Chairperson Linda Fabiani in the Scottish Parliament on behalf of the deliberative council of Neil Baxter, representing the Royal Corporation of the Architects of Scotland (RIAS), architect, writer and lecturer Ruaridh Mua, architect, author and historian Fiona Sinclair and former RIAS President Andrew Wright .

Voting for the “Building of the Century” opened on August 21st.
